a page of monotangles

Off to WA tomorrow to visit grandchildren, so last chance to post something. Continuing with mono's. Using red this time I chose 'nzeppel', using an R for the string. Won't do it again as its a bit lifeless. Should have done it in a writing style capital.

Then I had a brainwave to put my monos on one page. Thought you may like to see that.

some monotangles

Lately working on monotangles in one colour pen and shading with Prismacolours "Verithin"'s, new to me .
I tried out inverting the tangle, which I've not done before. I quite liked the challenge, but result wasn't perfect. But as there are no mistakes, didn't matter.

I think this is good way to learn the tangles, especially ones not used before, or very often, as me
with  'spinners'.

sunflower directions

After posting my sunflower tangle last night I actually did a larger 'How to' as the first was a bit small, so here we are again.
Cheers!

sunflower tangle

I created "sunflower " a while ago, but hadn't made a zentangle with it until tonight, so here we are.

Art show#4 zendala on canvas

Phew, completed my zendala #7 in time for art show  #4 at the new gallery at The Hub in Yaragon. Requirements were to have nothing larger than 10x10. I used a warm colour scheme using Sakura gelly roll markers on canvas. The shading was completed by using water on the markers.

Regarding work on canvas, this time I used 4 coats of gesso. I discovered that it was easier to rub out any pencil marks, but the ridges from the brush work made the surface uneven instead of the canvas weave. I did sand the surface back, but obviously not enough. Fortunately only experts would notice the difference!

Just as a ps I have to share this...
