Happy New Year to all. May 2012 exceed your expectations.

inchies grid
Firstly I need to make a correction to yesterdays post. The alphabet soup challenge was Sue Jacob's idea, not Sue Clarke's, my apologies there.
Had a bit of fun today making an inchies grid template. Its not perfect as far as lines joining up goes, but measurements are correct and hopefully will upload ok. I created it in Publisher but when I transfered it to My Pictures some lines surfaced which are hidden in the original grid. It can be used with a very fine line to work on, or use a thicker line to trace. It is on A4 with squares 1" square and 1/4 inch space between. Here goes...

Xmas day post
Happily I completed the alphabet soup challenge of Sue Clarkes (ta Sue). Now I can have a go at Margarets "inchies"! Having a challenge to do, for me anyway is a good way to stretch you and keep you trying out new things, so thanks to all who have given them, and to those who have shared their contributions, you also are an inspiration.
Tangles: sugarcane, twisted rope, unyun, vortex, warble.
Tangles: xulu, yincut, zedra.

MORE SOUP
Next two tiles for alphabet soup. I was pleased to break out of the usual square shape. The capital letter makes a new type of design easier to do. Can you see the mistake today?
G-L
Tangles: grass border, hollibaugh, inapod, jetties, knase, lotus pods
M-R
Tangles: meer, ninja stars, oke, paradox, queen's crown, river

Muddled Composite
Finally completed my composite. Put the tiles together today and had nightmares when I saw how many mistakes there were in matching up!! Anyway, I think its good to share mistakes, stops one getting proud and obsessive about perfection! All part of the journey hey. I enjoyed doing it , thats the main thing.

ALPHABET SOUP
Been busy lately with exams and reports and cleaning up. Bit of a job cleaning up as I'm a 'put it down now and deal with later ' pile maker. Its not that I've not been tangling, I've been doing a composite, its just the time it takes to scan and send pics all around the show before they actually get online. If I could just put it in my laptop and close the lid, things would happen a lot quicker. I will post my composite next scanning session, promise.
Recently Zentangler Sue Jacobs set herself a challenge, which others have joined in with. I love challenges so I have joined in too. Here's my first attempt. A-F. I decided to make each tile string the line of the capital letter of the first tangle. Means less thinking! Can you find the capital 'A'?

drupe, ennies, florez
Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas.
God bless and remember

P.S. Even a smile or nice 'hello' is a gift
