tangled painting and zia

I'm all packed to go but have some time to post a recent zia I completed at the Tuesday art group, and a painting I have begun to tangle . Did this one at the "class" i have at home each fortnight. I have been itching to tangle a painting, and this was one I did with my students last week. They had to copy one of  Picasso's painted ladies faces. I also have a completed small canvas done by one of my "at home " students.
The zia below "Moonflower" was completed on two panels.

Not finished yet but I am having fun!

spiral fun #62

Wow! I have just checked through my "reading list" and some awesome spirals are happening! Diva's challenge 62  (to use a spiral and paradox together), has been met head on with some amazingly creative work. Always inspirational. I decided to do mine on my calendar page and get ahead with it a bit as I go away next week for 10 days to see family and grandies. In WA it is HOT, so I dont anticipate doing a lot of fine work, plus I will be painting and playing with my little sunshines of course. (You can tell I work at night cos I used a blue pen instead of black in some places!!)

calendar 7-9 march

Little bit different this time. I felt like doing some letters, so used the letters of the days. Think Im hooked on the black and red colour scheme!

Challenge #61, calendar.

Still no laptop, it actually needs a new hard drive, how bout that! Anyway, I'll have to look for my camera wires so I can put photos on of some recent tangles on canvas.
This weeks challenge is to use the tangle "Golven"by Mariet. its one I really like so I enjoyed this. I thought what can I do with it? Did some normal first, then a variation or two. Plus some colour for more effects.
I continue to thoroughly enjoy working on Caroles calendar. I was inspired by Margaret Bremner's work on stippling (sorry havent learnt links yet) so attempted a page of stippling. When I finished, I felt they would look better singly. The technique appealed to me though. I like the gentleness of it.

I recently completed another coloured pencil work, this time I added quite a few tangles to the design. Title "Imagine 2"
