DIVA CHALLENGE #156

This weeks challenge is to use an uneven grid. This was right up my alley as it's quite simple. Thanks Laura! I am currently away on a short holiday and found my black pens nib to be a problem, so I have reverted to colour. (Nice excuse hey). The straight lined one was meant to have straight lined tangle, but after doing the first curvy one I forgot! Might try that later.

DIVA CHALLENGE#155 and ZENDALA DARE #92

Yeehaa! This is my first try at doing my blog on my iPad mini as my old Dell can't manage to get on the net today despite saying connection is good!

I've been having fun creating some swap zentangles with an Aussie Zentangle group on Facebook. We were to use only tangles that started with K. It's sure a good method to learn and practice them.
I used some for DC tile, for which we had to leave some SPACE.
First discovery is I can't make the tile any larger! I used Kitchener, Keeko and Knot Rickz.

Below is my Zendala Dare for this week. I like how Knot Rickz turned out but I quite messed up Unyun.
The one around the border is Kuke. For some strange reason, since it retired, I have trouble remembering the tangle names!

ZENDALA DARE #91

I'm a bit cross with Apple because I can't do my blog on my ipad mini which is almost attached to me I use it so much. I've about forgotten I actually have a camera as I now take all my shots on the mini. If anyone out there knows how to get photos in the mini (or ipad tablet) onto the blog via insert image please let me know, I would be delighted. It would mean I can do blogs anywhere and not need a scanner. Thanks.

I enjoyed doing this Dare as it was nice and simple! I liked using one colour with the graphite pencil too.

Whilst you poor North Americans are suffering snow and blizzards, and poor folk in uk are being drowned out, we in Victoria, Australia are enduring very hot weather, winds and bushfires. I became a bit anxious today to look out over the balcony. Normally we look out onto a mountain range, but all I could see was next doors trees.

This wasnt near us but further east , pretty awesome.
I actually went looking for where this fire was and couldnt find the place, though I dont think its far from the amount of smoke we have around us. In my search I found this amazing picture of a tree glowing.
