Diva Challenge #202

This week we have a Duo tangle, two tangles to work with. One is Chabucto, the other Copada. I use the latter quite frequently, but not the first one. In fact I found Chabucto quite difficult to get my head around, but did my old age best! These were designed by one of  my fave tanglers, Margaret Bremner, her work is awesome. You can see it on her blog at Enthusiasticartist.

Ive been enjoying some lovely sunsets recently

In February the Ficafolia gum trees come out in bloom. We have a Ficafolia festival, in which there  is a parade down the main street which is lined with the beautiful gum trees (or Eucalypts) . We are blessed to have one right outside our place. Its awesome when in bloom

We can sit in our lounge room and gaze at it through the window!
and I can't resist posting this delightful visitor we had to our balcony last week. (a kookaburra)

This weeks contribution for Facebook's Bible challenge. I love using an analogous colour scheme.

  2. Your Diva Challenge reminds me of a Printers California Job Case (Storage of letterpress lead font type.) Wonderful Tanglations of Copada. I especially like the "Loop and curve" tangleation in the lower right corner. Wonderful Shading. Thanks for the lovely photographs. Well done.

  4. Your Diva tile reminds me of one of those old school sewing samplers, little squares of fabric that you practice different stitches on. So neat and clean Anne, as always, your work is beautiful. On another note, I'm wanting to have a chat with you re the Bible Challenge, we are nearing the end of the Old Testament and I was wanting to run something past you. Maybe I'll pm you on FB.... yeah, that's what I'll do :)

  8. Great tile. Reminds me of a log cabin quilt. The bird is too cute, and what wonderful scenery all day. Like the bible tile ( I had to look up an analogous color scheme).

  9. Yes, your layout reminds me of a font case, like David said! Really nicely rendered!

  10. Nice tile! I hope you don't mind...I did a little feature post on you & your patterns Mathura and Apulia on my blog site. I included links to the two pattern step-outs on your blog site. I really appreciate your email response on Mathura!
