The Four Diamonds Fund was started by Charles and Irma Millard after their son, Christopher, lost his 3 year battle with cancer in 1972. Symbolic of the traits Christopher felt were needed to defeat cancer, he wrote a story in which the knight Sir Millard overcomes obstacles to achieve the four diamonds of Courage, Wisdom, Honesty and Strength.
At last I am up to date with calendar, BUT I am worried about next week cos I will need to work an extra 3 days to replace another art teacher going on a school camp! I am also worried about the time I'm putting in to doing zentangles!! Does anyone else feel like that?? Last night when I couldnt get to sleep I found myself working on the calendar!!
To make a difference this week , I thought I would do a coloured square with black and white either side to see how that looked. For the string I used the letters M,O,and N, extending the lines a bit. I was pleased with this one, bit more focused that last one ha ha.
Your "diamonds" entry is simply lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour zentangle reminds me of a kaleidoscopic from my youth. I love the blue!
ReplyDeletebeautiful, I love the mandala!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I both stopped when we saw this one - it's lovely! The blue makes it so soft and yet lively. Love your calendar entry as well.
