This week the Diva asked us to design a zentangle without using a string, and record how we felt whilst creating it. I began by doing a Verdigogh variation but did leaves only on one side, then placed crescent moon on the other side of the line. By now the design took on a life of its own, and I quite enjoyed the process.

oops..crooked..! |
crooked is good... I love crooked if it turns out like this.... happy end of school year... are you done????? sending lots of party and happy thoughts your way in case it is!!!
ReplyDeleteNot done yet. two weeks more. Doing proof reading instead of classes, and clearing out 14 years of "stuff" when not. Thats ok. Its the "Oh I will just keep this and that" that worries me. I might write a book on art lessons i tell myself. all those years of experience..45yrs!!!Even thats ok but I barely have enough room for what I have already at home.
DeleteA fabulous scene (on the side), socc looks like smoke billowing out of bunzo.
ReplyDeleteYou are imaginative. Now I will see that smoke each time I look at the tangle! Oh Shelley, Im off to Tassie on 14th Dec. to Hobart. Do you live anywhere near there???
DeleteSuch beautiful tangles, dramatic and great placement of patterns.
ReplyDeleteHow you can fit so many tangles on one tile and have them work so beautifully is beyond me. My proportions are all out of wack for some tangles.
ReplyDeleteWell there are no mistakes in zentangle so your patterns are really 'just right'. I do spend a lot of time studying what other people do, I think that helps, plus Im a stickler for detail and small stuff.
DeleteReally stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leanne.
DeleteThis is a spectacular tile! Your attention to detail shows in your beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI really like this - great flow of the tangles!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed by the number of tangles you've used, and how they all seem to flow so beautifully. I love the flowers in the crescent moons, and your use of zinger and bunzo. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like all your stuff! Don't stress about it being crooked, I just figured that's the way you wanted it, and it doesn't take away from the tile at all--it is lovely.
